The idea that they’re having dinner with MBS, while this administration drop bombs on boats for people whom they *haven’t even identified* under the pretense that they can summarily execute foreign nationals simply for posing a threat to Americans, is so stomach-churning. Just gruesome.

Today, government introduced Bill 9 legislation invoking the notwithstanding clause to override a court ruling that protects youth access to gender-affirming care. This places government between a patient and their physician, undermining clinical autonomy. www.albertadoctors.org/news/publica...

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

it is frankly a *scathing* indictment of the White House press corps
I’ve been thinking and it’s kind of exceptional that not a single person said “Hey now” after the piggy comment.

🔴 Scolding a U.S. reporter for asking questions about MBS ordering a fellow journalist to be bonesawed to death signals to dictators everywhere that they can murder journalists with impunity.

At a certain point, journalists of value say fuck this and leave. You don't have to be there. You're not getting anything of use out of it. When it's not insults and abuse, it's rambling nonsense. "Access journalism" is worthless when all you've got is access to a babbling pisspot.
Q: Why wait for Congress to release the Epstein files? Why not just do it now?

TRUMP: It's not the question that I mind. It's your attitude. I think you're a terrible reporter. It's the way you ask these questions. You start off with a man who's highly respected asking him an insubordinate question

Withholding any person's medical treatment is a crime.

Medical decisions should only involve the patient, their family & their healthcare team. Not a church & certainly NEVER a politician!

Get religion out of healthcare decisions!

The internet has once again gotten itself worked up over the prospect of an imminent Half-Life 3 announcement, but the reason is mostly just that it's November.
Half-Life fans are in a frenzy over the prospect of a Half-Life 3 announcement that there's (almost) no good reason to believe is happening
To be fair, I also can't think of a good reason to believe Valve won't announce Half-Life 3 today, except for that it hasn't on any previous day.

What do you even say at this point? Still haven't finished the first year of this. Every week is worse than the one before, and all we see is fumbling inability to stop it. And so many who don't want to stop it—they see greatness!

The American humiliation isn't over yet, but I think America is.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Lol, so it sure sounds like the Conservatives had a plan to avoid an election but blame it on the app.

Only *after* it was clear there were sufficient abstentions to pass the budget, Scheer and Reid scurried to their seats to vote no.

They can’t have been far! The doors lock when a vote starts 🤪
“Conservative House leader Andrew Scheer and the party's caucus chair, Scott Reid, flew in at the last minute, saying they couldn't vote on the app and wanted to record their “nay” votes in person.

That's a bit unusual.”

All joking aside, the heartbreaking thing about this story is seeing how a white “journalist” with poor prose & worst journalist ethics gets to repeatedly crash out & land plum jobs while so many poor, trans, Black, Native journalists never get in journalism’s door. Like…
How do you land Vanity Fair west coast editor at age 32 after having affairs with two presidential candidates you were covering as a journalist. That is some prime white lady shit.

I genuinely hope this meets its shit show potential. I hope it's so goddamn bad FIFA is burned to the ground and we all come away with the deeply traumatizing lesson that you cannot deal with the US anymore and you try to do so at your peril.

What Will describes is, incidentally, where the phenomenon of people calling single player games "dead" two weeks to a month after launch comes from
Remember when we played games because we enjoyed the act of playing them, not because there was a constant stream of rewards designed to stimulate the same parts of your brain that gambling does?
Battlefield 6 has standard XP levelling, like every big shooter post Modern Warfare. It also has a season pass, that can only be progressed by completing weekly season pass challenges for season pass tokens. There's now an event pass within the season, with its own set of event token challenges.

I basically just don't leave the house anymore
Remember: don't eat the mid tier fast food chicken, don't play the wizard game, don't shop at the hobby store run by the bad guys from Indiana Jones, and don't donate to the bigot bucket.
I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season
