I can't keep "gens" straight so I'm thinking more broadly (and offline) here. I have seen some reports saying the kids aren't falling for this shit and I hope that's correct, but does it matter if there's nothing but poison in the well? The kids want clean energy but we keep burning the world etc

I'm not convinced. I mean, AI will probably be the end of us (and it's such a broad term, so the specific "end" we get remains to be seen) but I do question whether normies care as long as they get their cute pictures and funny videos.

We really need to improve (or maybe just implement) some kind of effective civics education at the public or high school level. The number of people who scream GOD DAMN TRUDEAU because of high rent or long ER wait times is depressing.
