The FIFA Peace Prize is the Confederations Cup of Peace Prizes.

I'm just your area admin law guy, but the President can't unilaterally set regulatory policy. Power to make law comes from Congress alone, and delegated power has to follow Congress' rules--the APA, including notice and comment. This isn't just bureaucracy, it's a bulwark against arbitrary rule!

It took me a while to figure out why the montage of science and gaming channels on my Youtube thing had "Sushi Glory Hole" as the backing track. Nope, that's just my most-watched single video this year :|

I bought an EV in no small part because of ads at gas pumps, and you want to put ads on my fridge?
Really appreciate the clarity of the president saying black people are ruining the country and this entire room of groveling empty suits saying nothing bsky.app/profile/just...
Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

I've mostly treated claims of moral rot like "kids these days" or "nobody wants to work anymore"--classic empty claims, the kind of thing you can find on cuneiform tablets.

But hoo boy this is some moral rot. The kind of thing you don't want Osiris to balance against the feather.
Fox’s Greg Gutfeld on double tap boat strike: “It's just better for us to kill them in the ocean, make them shark feed, be done with it”

There's an editor at the New York Post that has been champing at the bit for a Jeff Bezos scandal so he can use his AMAZON CRIME headline.

(or anything else from the manila folder in his drawer labled "amazon rhymes")
Harvard Law School’s Jack Goldsmith:

“In short, if the Post’s facts are correct, it appears that Special Operations Forces committed murder when the ‘two men were blown apart in the water, as the Post put it.’”

The crisis isn’t refugees. It’s not that one person committed one tragic crime and killed one other person. The crisis isn’t that America’s 250-year old history of hosting immigrants turned out to be a mistake.

The crisis is that STEPHEN MILLER, a hateful little maggot, controls the government.
Was not expecting this blatant xenophobia on my tv first thing in the morning...

You could even argue RO's compromises make Andor worse. e.g. Disney demanding a relatable droid for marketing leading to having to shoehorn K2SO into the last few episodes of Andor.

This is a thought-provoking take. Most people say Andor makes Rogue One retrospectively better. Jamelle suggests (I think probably correctly) that any film should be evaluated on its own merits. But your suggestion is that Andor makes Rogue One retrospectively *worse*. Interesting!

"The devil can cite scripture for his purpose" is supposed to be a metaphor for the malleability of textual interpretation, not a suggestion that the devil is a moron who will self-own by citing authority for the principle he's arguing against.
If only Donald Trump could read:

“OUR AMERICAN CODE OF MILITARY OBEDIENCE REQUIRES THAT, SHOULD ORDERS AND THE LAW EVER CONFLICT, OUR OFFICERS MUST OBEY THE LAW.”

No slippers I get, without triggering the whole bare feet on planes pile-on.

But what's wrong with pajamas? People sleep on the plane, they're comfortable, not (necessarily) immodest or gross, and have to meet stringent fire safety standards?
Duffy on his demand that air travelers not wear slippers or pajamas: "It honors our country ... don't take your shoes off and put your feet on the chair ahead of you"

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

You know what was unhelpful, all the electeds and pundits back in the spring saying, "to be sure, maybe DOGE is needed to increase efficiency". That's not what it was for, it was meant for destruction and crimey stuff. Total marks.

I'm thinking about asking you to be
Mrs. You and Me

Obviously unjust conduct by the US government here, but this also shows the weakness of EU institutions. You can't provide sufficient legal protections and alternative systems so your sanctioned citizens can get access to a bank account? Russia, Iran, and North Korea figured that out long ago.

Especially for the 1Ls out there, preparing for their 1st set of law school exams, I wrote this post back in 2007 about how to get a good grade on a law school issue spotter. The post, "Bad Answers, Good Answers, and Terrific Answers," is available here:

If they kick out the nurses but keep the chiropractors, "professional" is a club I (a lawyer) don't want to be part of anymore.

Nursing is no longer counted as a 'professional degree' by Trump admin
The Department of Education has excluded nursing as a "professional degree" program as it implements various changes to student loans.

Two weeks in Poland have radicalized me on this. America is worthless if we can't stand up.

This is an absolute disgrace from a country that is supposed to be a beacon of freedom around the world. Rewarding war criminals like this surpasses Chamberlain's worst missteps. www.wsj.com/world/u-s-pe...

"Teaming up with Eminem to kill Slim Shady" just seems like a rather violent metaphor for therapy. If so, good on Marshall for getting help, but I'm not sure Agent 47 is licensed.
