Get the freaking shingles vaccine. Shingles is one of the most unpleasant things I’ve experienced, it’s like having something rubbing on a sunburn all the time. No vaccine side effect could be worse than that.

Get the freaking shingles vaccine. Shingles is one of the most unpleasant things I’ve experienced, it’s like having something rubbing on a sunburn all the time. No vaccine side effect could be worse than that.

If you feel bad after getting a vaccine, thats a good thing. That means your body is responding to it and creating antibodies that will fight the virus the next time you come into contact with it. In most cases, vaccines do this so well that you will not even know its happening.

If you feel bad after getting a vaccine, thats a good thing. That means your body is responding to it and creating antibodies that will fight the virus the next time you come into contact with it. In most cases, vaccines do this so well that you will not even know its happening.

Meanwhile, my rabbi has been on leave or light duty for over a month because he delayed getting the vaccine, got shingles, and still can't move without intense nerve pain despite being "over" his illness. Do NOT skip the shingles vax, folks.

Fair enough, so a few things about #shingles #vaccine side effects below. Caveat: my patients have largely already received it, so I haven't administered it in some time. This is also, of course, not medical advice, just FYI.
