This is what it looks like: random empty cars on the side of the road; parents having to weigh whether to send their kids to daycare or not based on fed activity nearby; journalists smashed into the ground and arrested (violating court orders). Burn ICE to the ground.

Echoing this. I’m also in Chicago - this is a military occupation, an indiscriminate terror campaign by masked men with guns and body armor and armored vehicles. They tear-gassed my street this weekend and kidnapped my neighbors.

There were almost assuredly waaay more unconfortable texts than she remembers. I knew some young republicans back in the 00's, too, and they were BARELY more civil than this. They tended to use code, though, e.g., "Canadian" instead of the N word. (This, I later learned, was standard neo-nazi shit.)

Marquette Park this morning, ~45 min ago at 70th and Washtenaw per anon FB post. Through a screen, someone films Border Patrol agents taking a man into a red minivan and driving away. Another angle of this shared to social media shows it happened in front of a daycare.

I am in Chicago, and I can't stress this enough: we are being invaded and our neighbors kidnapped off the street by masked agents of the state. They're throwing tear gas at us and the police, indiscriminately targeting EVERYONE, even infants in at least one case. This is as bad as it gets.

Chaos at 105th Street and Avenue N. A couple bricks and possibly an egg got thrown at a squad of federal agents who were standing in the intersection. Two cars — a white SUV and a red one — got trucked out after a chase and a crash, per neighbors. At least three detained from this confrontation.
