Assigned's mentions for this post are flooded with people who want to jeer at Biden so may I just say: When a Democratic former president makes a point of standing up for trans rights in a situation where he is absolutely not required to do so, for God's sake, just take the W.
6 Dec 2025 @rikiwilchins.bsky.social -- Biden, generally a lukewarm backer of trans rights as President, uses Intl International LGBTQ+ Leaders Conference speech to slam Reps/Trump for turning trans rights into "political football...into something scary, something sinister."

Are you on generic Vyvanse? There was a nationwide recall in the fall that a lot of people missed because they put out the news generally but didn’t tell people who were on it directly.

I’m not sure which of my chronically strict to the point of sometimes imposing personal inconvenience privacy measures is the effective puzzle piece here but that has never happened to me.
I really don't think it's a good thing that you can casually browse a website you've never been on before for 30 seconds and suddenly they can email you like HEY ARE YOU SURE YOU DIDN'T WANT TO BUY SOMETHING. I'm bravely saying that should not be able to happen.

$20 billion could end homelessness in the US

$40 billion could end hunger globally

Both would still only cost 3/4 of what Meta blew on Mark Zuckerberg’s obviously bad ideas because nobody would tell him they were stupid because he’s worth over $200 billion because he doesn’t pay his share of taxes
Mark Zuckerberg’s gamble on the "Metaverse" has lost his company more than $77 billion.

Yeah. All of the strikes have been just as illegal as if Iran sunk a Disney cruise because it suspected passengers carried weed.

But this one is so blatant—helpless survivors on an already-damaged ship—that it's impossible to fabricate any rationale. It's a crack worth widening.
I get this but plenty of people had been calling all the strikes murder and it hadn't broken through. This revelation did and put even Republicans on the defensive and willing to do some oversignt. My sense is that any crack the regime's implacability is a foothold.
Once the debate centers on whether the 2nd strike was legal, the first 21 strikes have been accepted as baseline. But the murder of the two survivors doesn’t make the other 21 any more legal. Selective outrage, not silence, is how authoritarianism becomes normalized @tadstoermer.bsky.social

Don’t forget “work that is objectionable but obligatory”

Moral injury can also be a form of burnout.

Lack of agency over your work, too - even if the work is not morally objectionable, of a reasonable amount and difficulty, having no agency over what/when/how to do it is also a source of burnout.
the one thing I wish they'd taught in acting training is
burnout
and how there are different kinds
too much work
not enough work
work that is unchallenging
and that they are all burnout

I don't really know what the administration hopes to gain by picking fights with the most well-liked pop artists in the United States. You're just generating backlash for no discernible reason outside of owning the libs.

Let’s be CRYSTAL CLEAR:

If a man born Chet Williams became Chet Anderson when his stepfather adopted him as a toddler, and Samuel Anderson as a young adult because he didn’t want to be named after the man who abandoned him, his name on that wall would be Samuel Anderson.

very disappointing the sidewalk shoveling pilot seems to be seen as benefitting property owners by clearing their sidewalk instead of seeing issue as uncleared sidewalks making it hard for every other person to use them. city needs to shift from thinking of property owners to thinking of the public
Right now it seems to be framed by some as making sure seniors don’t get fined for not shoveling when the focus should be on people needing to use sidewalks for basic mobility
