i've softened in my views over the years, i don't hate *all* rotorcraft

i might be willing to board something with at least, like, six or eight _fixed-pitch_ rotors. anything with a swashplate, i'd need to be as good as dead already, unconscious on the side of a mountain maybe.

i think where i'm at is, maybe it's futile to apply labels to people we disagree with, and it's best to let their preferred labels take priority

but at the same time, need to remember that we're going to have disagreements with other people using our same labels

maybe we just label *behaviors*?

yeah tankie is a subset of campist. Campists are anyone who supports enemies of the US because the they believe the US is the ultimate evil in the world. Tankies go with "those enemies are good, actually!" Other campists rely on denying those enemies agency and blaming their bad actions on the US.

"campist" often has pretty decent overlap with "tankie"
