We are in an interstitial period where the networks and institutions that once sustained the social order and facilitated shame have collapsed. Everything is up in the air for now though I think it will eventually stabilize. Durkheim's "anomie" feels like an appropriate description of right now.

If Americans want a constitutional republic of free people rather than bow down to a monarch, you’ll break more laws and hurt the country?

Your terms are acceptable. I’d really prefer if you didn’t hurt the country, but if you insist, announcing that it’s because you hate freedom, so be it.

The thing is that the modern GOP (not to mention its basement-confined moron stepchild, the Mises Caucus libertarian “party”) is accurately depicted by this language and a critical mass of the party is absolutely fine with it.

It’s incredible that the VT State Senator wrapped up in this hasn’t resigned yet — every major GOP leader in the state has called for his resignation. Fixing democracy requires restoring shame to public life. And accountability. Lots of accountability. vtdigger.org/2025/10/14/v...

Going to need a purge of remaining JAGs and referrals to bar discipline when this is over. If it’s ever over.

I just checked and this is real. It's on Border Patrol's official Instagram (I don't see it on Facebook) and is being celebrated by Nazis on Twitter, as you can see in the screenshot.

The clip is just 13 seconds long too, so it's a very intentional thing. We've got a Nazi government.
Twitter account: Uncensored @HmanQuotes1945: Official border patrol Facebook page is posting with the banned lyrics of Michael Jackson's song.

The servicemembers who are conducting these strikes need to be told, explicitly, by Dems in Congress that they have criminal liability, because they do

Trump has no legal authority, "standing" or otherwise, to order the killing of people in international waters for unsubstantiated accusations of non-capital crimes.

Calling them "narcoterrorists" does not make it right or legal to order their deaths without any due process.

recurring gripe of mine: stop talking about these people like they’re fucking supervillains, Palmer Luckey is grifter bullshit artist who is going to steal a lot of public money in exchange for buggy vaporware, he’s not Lex Luthor. they get off when breathlessl hyperventilating about them like this.

The Merchant of Death, billionaire Palmer Luckey, rebranded the DOD the Department of War.

Peter Thiel/Palantir gave his company, Andruil, a billion dollars in January.

This is Palmer “I love killer robots” Luckey.

Origin story on rename below, as well as him hanging out with the worst people.

Really waiting for a brave soul in DHS to blow the whistle on *exactly* who is working up these too-convenient, obviously fake intel assessments.

Seriously, the one remaining constant in the US-narcocartel strategic balance is "don't kill US cops, remember how bad they fucked us up for Kiki"

ICE is doing a wonderful job of teaching cops not to stick their necks out for the regime when things inevitably get hairy.

Postmodern architecture was actually a very brief movement that emerged in the 1960s as a counter-reaction to modernism's austerity and uniformity. Examples of postmodernism include Michael Graves's Portland Building and Guild House. Also Phillip Johnson's PPG Place.
Michael Graves's Portland Building. The distinctive look of Michael Graves' Portland Building, with its use of a variety of surface materials and colors, small windows, and inclusion of prominent decorative flourishes, was in stark contrast to the architectural style most commonly used for large office buildings at the time,[8] and made the building an icon of postmodern architecture. It is the first major postmodern tall office building, opening before Philip Johnson's AT&T Building, and its design has been described as a rejection of the Modernist principles established in the early 20th century. Phillip Johnson's PPG Place. The buildings are recognized by their 231 glass spires, with the largest one 82 feet (25 m) tall. Also notable are the surfaces of reflective insulating glass, that served to advertise the project's founder. The buildings contain over one million square feet of PPG's Solarban 550 Twindow - 19,750 pieces. The primary building, One PPG Place, is a 40-story tower, with PPG Industries occupying half of the space. The complex also contains a 14-story building, and four 6-story structures. PPG Industries also uses space in one of the other buildings. The lobby of One PPG is a 50-foot (15 m)-high entrance that features red glass. The building has 21 elevators, each with walls constructed of clear glass panels enclosing fractured glass. In total, the complex cost $200 million.
