Whenever I’ve seen a middle manager doing this, they’ve done it with a smug air of “look at me being modern and productive and disruptive, unlike you Luddites who spend time thinking about and crafting your work.”
I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

I got so many really nice replies from Labour MPs but over a week later I can't seem to find a formal Labour Party statement about their plan to reverse the ban on puberty blockers. We are living in grim, grim times.

Absolutely agreed. Greens have just committed to "timely, free, non-discriminatory access to all forms of gender-affirming healthcare based on informed consent and self-determination" - it shouldn't be hard for labour to make that commitment.
