To explain briefly: at the moment people successful in their asylum claims get permission to stay in the UK for 5 years, then have to apply for permanent residency. At that point a review of their status is done, but it’s rare not to succeed at that point unless they‘ve committed an offence 1/

It matters past K-12 too. Graduate level classes are usually quite small. PhD education is, practically speaking, master-apprentice, ie 1:1.
But we still put students in 500person lecture halls for freshmen classes bc otherwise we would need to hire more faculty.

I remember a time where all the guardrails we had in place were not only there but we knew why not to remove them. Widespread gambling, liquor commercials, even prescription drugs used to not be able to be advertised. It's taking almost no time to learn AGAIN why they were banned.

There has been a noticeable reticence in left and liberal circles to voice full-throated support for pornography, even as it's become increasingly clear what the open end goals of the censorship movement are
In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?
