Hard to believe Davis *still* had a pending case that hadn't been thrown out yet, all the way into 2025.

Anyway I think one reason I'm not that mad at these guys is we already knew they were the wrong people for this moment. A party trying to carry on with business as usual in the face of autocracy won't survive. They're sitting in a burning house and commissioning polls on how popular the fire is
If you think the president is a tyrant and you're running for office to oppose him the only platform you can have is "Give us enough votes to impeach and remove this menace." Otherwise what's the point of electing you?

This is the same problem that we see when law firms and universities strike “deals” w Trump to stop Trump from doing ILLEGAL things!! That’s not a contract or even a good faith agreement. That’s a shakedown.
One of the talking points I keep seeing from Democrats is that part of the deal is that it will "ensure federal workers receive back pay" but that's the existing law!
That's not something you've won in negotiations. That's just the letter of the law. You don't get to claim that as a win.

This looks awfully intentional.
None can be primaried in the next cycle, Shaheen & Durbin retiring.
Hassan, Masto, Fetterman up for reelection in 2028.
Rosen, Kaine, King up for reelection in 2030.

Every single Senator who either voted for this or refused to call for Schumer’s ouster should not ever be allowed to go to a restaurant again without getting bood and heckled until they are forced to leave.
durbin should get primaried even after he retires. if he's trying to sit down at a restaurant somebody should take his seat

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Primary them all at the midterms.
FSAs, if you even have one, can't be used to pay health insurance premiums. Surely there's no way FSA money moved the needle on Democrats who were holding out for ACA subsidy extensions. There's no link between FSAs and ACA premiums.
"A development that appeared to break the logjam: Republicans proposed that healthcare funding be provided directly to households rather than used to pay for a 1-year extension of ACA subsidies. That involves sending federal money into FSAs instead of insurance companies" www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
