They're directional sound cannons, they project an impossibly-loud, painful tone in a narrow cone at long distance. Sometimes used for comms, but previously used at protests for crowd dispersal. Can cause hearing damage.

DHS says there are rioters armed with guns, slashing tires, throwing tear gas... But says nothing about the protesters
Statement from DHS where not a single assertion is true. Saying media wasn't attacked, calling protests "violent riots" (which they are once ICE starts rioting), rioters performing violent acts (which ICE definitely does). Noem asserts her rioting agents will not stop or slow them down from "removing the worst of the worst", which is not something they're doing. They're definitely devoting a lot of agents toward attacking peaceful protesters tho, so that's slowing them down.

I humbly wish every browser game would .stopPropagation() and .preventDefault() so basic inputs wouldn't bubble up to the browser.

Without those, most keyboard-controlled web games are unplayable when the browser's typeahead find is turned on.

Today's the 30th anniversary of Hackers (1995).

I love this movie. It's a fun, well-produced story about a group of exceptionally competent people who team up to successfully defeat corrupt authority.

There are many strengths of Loctite! I finally picked up some purple for tiny screws, but I usually use removable blue.

GenAI slop has ruined tables of contents. Like if I click into a site and it's got a table of contents, I nope out. 95% chance it's a cookie-cutter slop pile.
