In fairness Labour taunted reform for their trans policies because they thought Anne widdecombe (!) was too woke about trans people.
michaelwi.bsky.social
His aim would be to defeat everyone on the right. That includes Labour, Tory’s and reform.

I'm not above replying "stop indulging in student politics, you are just helping Farage!" to centrists the moment the Greens are ahead of Labour in the polls. It will be funny EVERY time.

“JK Rowling isn’t and never has been waging an ongoing campaign at trans women”

Correct shelagh. She isn’t just doing that. She also hates trans men and is a bit of a racist and anti-Semite in her spare time.
michaelwi.bsky.social
I think that might actually be the plan. Then the new head bigot can reply with “that was a decision by the previous head of the EHRC. It is not my place to scrutinise all her prior decisions”
michaelwi.bsky.social
That reads to me suspiciously like letters I’ve seen from sex matters.

For this one might not be your party or green. It might be independent Leanne Mohamad.

It’ll be worth seeing closer the time if she will run again or if she’s joined a party.

ANNOUNCEMENT
This evening, 14/10/25 the Trans Advocacy and Complaints Collective and the Trans Exile Network have taken the next step in the struggle to restore the human rights, dignity & safety of UK trans people.
michaelwi.bsky.social
But that it’ll be decided by members.

Do we believe they are a non-racist party? Or do we think they are a threat to people of colour?
michaelwi.bsky.social
One way I previously described it was:

If we had a new party that claimed not to be racist had a couple of anti-racist voices but had farage and all the other reform MPs in it. Plus they got Tommy robinsons wife involved and only spoke about how they wanted race segregation when asked.

I personally find it a massive red flag that it’s not a red line already before conference.

They wouldn’t have a vote on whether to be racist or not so it communicates they consider trans people as potential targets and less worthy of respect than other groups.

Also Helen Joyce’s comments are both projection and a confession.

She can’t stop because then she might realise how many children she’s indirectly caused to commit suicide.

Unsurprisingly, that ‘A Level English for migrants’ thing was nonsense. It’s B2 level in English (as a second language). Very much nowhere near the same thing.

There is absolutely no way that looking at how the EA was debated and presented by the writers of it at the time that this was intended to be legislation that excluded trans people from public.

He is a liar.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Labour are so bigoted they’d rather no one have rights than give trans people rights
michaelwi.bsky.social
We had the entire media and every political party going nuts when it happened to farage (and more because he was with a bank for the highly wealthy and did not earn enough).

So where are they now?

But A level isn’t about language competency is it?

It’s more about artistic interpretation of novels and texts isn’t it? How’s that relevant for citizenship?
michaelwi.bsky.social
Have you seen some of the work @seenpoliceuk.bsky.social has been doing regarding police forces explicitly instructed to ignore crimes such as harassment if the motivation is anti-trans ideology?

Could you look over it as it’s quite frankly concerning.

The Council of Europe has warned that the UK gov’s treatment of trans people may breach human rights law.

This must be a wake up call.

We’ve seen an increase in hostility towards trans in recent years.

Everyone deserves dignity, safety, & respect - that includes trans people.
