Several Labour MPs refer to themselves as 'gender critical' - that is, they have an irrational hatred of transgender people. In a decent party, 'gender critical' MPs would be immediately ejected, in the same way that you hope racists and other bigots would be ejected.

Congress created Special Immigrant Juvenile Status as a protection against deportation — yet because of procedural quirks, there is a lag/limbo between SIJS and a green card, and a person can have both a removal order AND a SIJS grant. This admin is pushing forward with removal during this lag time.

Yesterday, I went to an ICE check-in with 16-year-old Joel Camas and his lawyer, who expected him to be out in time for school by 8am because he has special immigrant juvenile (SIJ) status. Instead, he was detained.

Sometimes, when people try to argue that anyone wanting to stop Reform needs to support Labour, I go and look at a poll tracker.

Starmer's Labour are not going to save us, folks. Not electorally, and they're certainly not winning any battles of ideas either.

Labour's poll support is a lumpy diagonal line running from 30% just over a year ago to less than 20% now.

Conservatives start and end a few percentage points behind, but it's more like they hit rock bottom (17%) a few months ago and stayed there.

Lib Dems have made small gains to end up at 14%, and Greens have made large gains to end up at 13%.

The Reform line is a bit like the Tories' upside down. They've been hovering around their current rating, 29%, for a while.

SNP and Plaid Cymru on 4% and 1% respectively, which tells us nothing useful.
