Kash is wrong. According to some of the criminal cases already charged, other-state Guard are operating under their governor's authority. These were WV officers, far from home.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.

There are sort of unspoken rules of social media that I think map pretty well onto the coffee shop analogy. I don't remember consciously deciding this, but it *feels* right to me: reply directly to mutuals (and explicit questions you can usefully answer), quote to give your own take.

And this was *after* hedge funds crashed the economy and we bailed out the predatory mortgage industry. Even after that, modest health care was too much for them.
If people want to understand why American politics went bananas in 2012, the reason is that the moderate black President took a modest but consequential step toward decoupling healthcare from employment and every billionaire immediately poured their entire portfolio into race-hate media
