Reading the original report, I wonder how Collins is mentally. I would hope she's more aware than someone like Feinstein or Norton, but she's usually smarter than this, even if she lacks any particular courage.

Who would judge whether to prosecute RFK? Who would have judged whether to prosecute Trump's Ivermectin claim or Obama's "You can keep your insurance" or Bush's "Mission Accomplished?" (IDK whether there is an executive equivalent of a Speech and Debate clause, but if there is that makes it harder.)

The FCC exists today and has no jurisdiction over the internet or cable. I was in radio news back when the FD was around. You might be surprised to know that Fox News meets it's requirements right now, as it is, w/no changes. Rush Limbaugh was also OTA when the FD was around. It did very little.
