I am one of Humpy's biggest fans, perhaps the biggest on the @lookoutlanding.bsky.social staff, and as such I have become vexed as the Humpy losing bit dragged on to a point of feeling mean. Last night, the Mariners made the right choice, and picked a perfect moment. I wrote about it.

In the 15th inning of tonight's ALDS, my beloved Humpy the salmon won his first ever victory in the Mariners' salmon race.

A half an inning later, the Mariners finished it all off. Coincidence?
