“We apologize for no audio there for a bit” no need to apologize. We saw utopia for a few minutes.

This Seahawks/Jaguars Broadcast sounds like an August 3rd game between the Nationals and Marlins. It rules.

Oh good a Seahawks game

Imagine having lifelong sports trauma because your team lost to the Seattle Mariners. Clown franchise. Mariners in six.

I don’t feel great about this matchup in Game 1 for Seattle but thanks to history exactly zero blue jays fans will enjoy a second of any home game this series regardless of how big a lead they may get, and I think that’s delightful.

Another college football season spent wondering if/when the University of Oregon and its donors will step up and financially support its football program.

We are actually like this all the time. Welcome to hell!

The last time the Mariners made the playoffs they played (and of course lost) a 1-0 game over 18 innings in the choking smoke of apocalyptic wildfires. This is how this works here. Strap in.

I had fun but also this is the game the Mariners always play whenever they’re on the verge of history they just never win it.

The Mariners are going to play for the American League Championship.

The Blue Jays await an exhausted Seattle ballclub in what should be a very competitive ALCS. The series preview for @lookoutlanding.bsky.social:

There is no path towards Something New for the Seattle Mariners that is not teeming with agony, pain, and misery beyond imagining. The nation will watch in horror as this team gives painful birth to our beautiful and terrible abomination.

This is how it was always going to be.

In the light of day, the insistence on taking millions of fans into the yawning abyss of hell that is a 15-inning game seems pretty difficult to justify. What were the Mariners thinking?

A game like that doesn't deserve a normal recap. Here's my retelling of last night's Tigers-Mariners game, broken into splinters.

11. For the first time in my life, I actually had to check the scoreboard to see how many mound visits a team had left.

Just cannot get enough videos, pics, tweets, skeets etc of happy Mariner fans. Today social media is Good, actually.

100000000% never giving him the chance to do these things is a stain I doubt will ever go away fully.

I’m just so happy for so many people. The team, the announcers, all the employees who put so much daily labor into this. Fans knew and old. They all deserve this joy so very much.

Put it in the paper that I feel normal and am acting normal.

History ain’t nothing but a memory. Today is ours. Tomorrow is unwritten. We are what we make it be. Go Mariners. Go us.

Nate hell yeah brother.
