My prediction is this goes mostly the same way the 2017 movie did. They’ll nail the teen drama stuff, have passable suits and fight choreography; and completely biff the monster and zord designs.

It is a huge indictment of the current industry model that Fallout and Twisted Metal both have successful TV shows with fans begging for new games, and no one was prepared for it, and by the time a game is started and finished, interest could be totally gone.
The future of Twisted Metal is iffy.
We got some lame destruction derby game during the PS5’s launch, a live service game was cancelled (whew), and Sweet Tooth was oddly absent in Astro Bot.
But we do have the TV show and the other TMs are on PS5, so maybe there’s hope.

What gets me is that fanfic/fanart creators have been talking about the subject of getting dogpiled, harassed, and pressured *for so many years now* about making dark/unsettling content, and let nobody listened to the canary in the coal mine because “stupid fandom drama”
alternatively we as a society could realize that fiction is about playing with dolls and that horrible things happening to them doesn't matter because it's all toys.
