It’s been kind of a whirlwind couple of weeks, and I can finally talk about one of the highlights: I got to review NHL 26 for IGN! If you’re on the fence about whether to buy this year’s game, check it out!

Physical media for movies and TV shows isn’t totally dead, but it’s a shame that streaming really killed the culture that surrounded DVDs. Some studios really put a lot of effort into those releases, like commentaries, trailers, and special features. That made the overall package more meaningful.

Man, 41 shots on net and can’t get one in. Rough loss for the Sabres.

Man, Sabres getting chance after chance, outshooting the hell out of the Devils, but can’t buy a goal. NJ gets a chance and it’s in the net 🙃

Afternoon game!

Seeing a whole lot of amateurs drinking out of these beer swords at the Sabres game today. A lot of you guys never learned the art of chugging from Beerfest, and it shows.

So far, I’m really digging the X-Men: Age of Revelation storyline. I think people get a little burned out on alternate futures with the X-Men, but I like that the books feel like a natural extension of what’s happening in the present day stories, but 10 years in the future.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving today. Got to spend the day with the family, and ate a whole lot of food. Not too shabby.

Huge win for the Cowboys. Pretty happy about that one, not gonna lie.

Busta Rhymes is officially the only rapper to have both sang with the Ninja Turtles AND have kicked Michael Myers.

Jewel, Shaggy, and Busta Rhymes? Is this a Thanksgiving Day parade or my middle school dance?

My favorite thing about culture is when artists who seem new and dangerous wind up decades later performing to universal cheers on the teenage mutant ninja turtles float at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

That doesn’t look at all like the guy from Shadow Labyrinth.

I saw Kool and the Gang live with my dad once, and they ruled. Unsurprisingly.

Okay, pretty cool hearing them play the Super Mario Galaxy theme during the Thanksgiving Day parade, not gonna lie.

Acquisitions in the gaming industry are generally pretty bad, but Nintendo tends to have a good track record with them. I’ve not once heard about mass layoffs at Retro, Next Level Games, Monolith Soft, or a lot of other studios they’ve purchased. So this could be a positive for employees.
Nintendo is acquiring shares of Bandai Namco Studios Singapore Pte. Ltd. for the purpose of strengthening its development structure

BNSS will become a subsidiary of Nintendo and will continue its development operations under the new name Nintendo Studios Singapore Pte. Ltd.

Has anyone ever done the math on how much money Steve Martin’s character loses throughout the course of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? It’s gotta be a ridiculous amount.

I'm an "A.i." abolitionist.

No consumer-facing LLMs or generative "A.i." in anything.

Sure, machine learning in science and a few other limited applications is fine.

But consumer-facing LLMs and generative "A.i." that are based on theft, push disinfo, and can be manipulated by billionaires?

No.

It’s possible this pull quote makes more sense in context. A lot of times companies will request this type of thing and it doesn’t look great the way it gets chopped. But it certainly makes it sound like the writer at Deadline was totally unaware of the, like, thousand faith-based horror flicks.
Not to trot out the “people will tweet anything” meme, but…

People come to Bluesky and kick the hornet’s nest like Macaulay Culkin in My Girl, and then have the audacity to act like it’s a platform problem. I assure you, if you go to someone’s house for Thanksgiving tomorrow and immediately shit on the floor, your experience there won’t be great either.

What’s happening right now is like the episode of The Simpsons where Mr. Burns discovers that he’s broke, and his yes men weren’t telling him. Trump is mentally checked out, and surrounded by people telling him what he wants to hear, while they each loot the country.
At this point, I wonder if he isn't lying when he says he has "my highest Poll Numbers, ever" since it's entirely possible that's what his aides are telling him. It's quite likely that there's an entire Potemkin village built around Trump right now.
Trump responds to a detailed report about his waning energy and propensity to sleep through on-camera events by calling the New York Times's Katie Rogers ugly

Started reading some old Spider-Man Clone Saga comics on Marvel Unlimited. I read some of it as it was coming out, but I was pretty young, so I couldn’t keep up with everything that was coming out. The one thing that really strikes me is that the good stuff is actually really good.

To each their own, but the movie theater experience is the absolute best. I love it so much. I mostly do the mainstream theater (usually one of two Regal Cinemas that are fairly close), but I have done indie theaters too. Never done the food theater. We don’t really have those close by.
god, i just love going to the freakin' movies!!
