Look, there is no way to avoid TPUSA. You can give trolls a C-, B, B+. It won't matter. They can even get an A overall but if you give the feedback the very constructive OU instructor did, you're on the list. The assignment could be 2% of the grade (it might be in that class!). There is no defense.

there’s no amount of good faith that beats bad faith. you beat bad faith with fire*, not argument.

Speaking as a white person who likes that song: Have you seen how many white people Looooove that song? The Dems *should* make that their slogan. It would get more votes than anything else they’ve tried in the last decade.
i’m really digging the new democratic catchphrase “from the window, to the wall”

Now up at the blog, my review of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter: garik16.blogspot.com/2025/11/vide...

One of my favorite JRPG games ever has its first game remade with tremendous graphics and a really addictive more modern gameplay system. Everyone should absolutely play it.
Video Game Review: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is a remake of the very first game in Nihon Falcom's now longrunning Trails series of JRPGs (itself a sub...

Finished my NG+ (50 Lvls up) playthrough of the #trailsinthesky remake). Still a wonderful game to playthrough again and the 50 level increase resulted in some interesting tactics changes needed. May add to my blog post on the game, I love it so much.

The Pat Fitzgerald hire is the worst P4 hire since Hugh Freeze at Auburn and even that one was kinda justifiable on football terms because Hugh had been coaching well at Liberty.

Basically MSU is saying "our ceiling is 8-5 in the Big Ten West, a division that no longer exists."

He might think that, but Kissinger got away with what he did socially and politically because he was seen as an intellectual giant and also somewhat interesting at parties.

Miller is an off-putting freak whose diet consists entirely of mayonnaise
It’s been said: Henry Kissinger.

the classic time of year, when teams decide whether to extend or fire their coach. a real eck vs. sever situation
SOURCE: New Mexico and head coach Jason Eck have agreed to a new five-year deal with a raise to an average salary of $1.75 million.

Lobos are 9-3 this year and could get their first 10-win season since 1982. One of the best stories in CFB this year:

New Mexico’s revenue sports had one good year. Then almost everyone left town
Heavy football roster turnover is common in college sports’ free transfer era, but New Mexico faced a rare double-dip this year.

you can’t ask the president about things he clearly does not have the power to do, because he is physically incapable of admitting he is not allowed to do something
Reporter: You said that you might denaturalize American citizens?

Trump: If we have criminals that came in and were naturalized through Biden or somebody that didn’t’ know what they were doing—if I have the power to do it… I would denaturalize

Knicks fans yelling out another word for "2" when McBride shoots a 3-pointer will never not be funny. Raptors fans really should have done this for DeRozan.

This is a trope that has always been a Trump staple - he obsesses over “no one else could be able to do it” and “I did”. The ideas may be bad or whatever but he always has his framework of “only I could do this”
“It is something that has been needed and desired at the White House for over 150 years, but something which no other President was equipped to do…”

This is all true but

1) under no definition are we currently at war with Venezuela under domestic US law

2) since we aren’t, the initial strike was just as much a murder as the follow up

The failure to understand this by a huge range of actors is really driving me up the wall.
If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

Was thinking about this, and also thinking about Michigan State's public response when they've been called on any number of things since Nassar (no I'm not comparing these cases, thank you). I think the hazing episode and Fitzgerald becoming a martyr in certain circles was a real draw
I seriously have no idea why you’d hire Pat Fitzgerald. He wasn’t a playcaller or strategic mind, his whole schtick was selling Northwestern Culture because he played there, and then it turns out that culture featured a brutal atmosphere of sexual hazing

This is a huge part of why so many people think we're in the middle of a widespread "anti-woke backlash": Small movements opposed to social progress are collected into trend stories by conservative media. Far larger movements that want more diversity are ignored or cast as threats.
"Woke is ruining D&D". Meanwhile Dimension 20, one of the wokest real play shows around, just sold out Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl for live shows and brings armies of new players to RPGs.

I do not think LLMs are going away, even if we correct from the current irrational hype cycle

too many people like using them and they already have some genuinely useful applications (coding)

but I do think OpenAI specifically, and many startups built on top of these APIs, should be worried
"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
Analysis: OpenAI is a loss-making machine, how can it survive?
Don't call it a bubble! Loss-making monster OpenAI is on the hook for $1.4 trillion (with a T) in compute commitments. How can this go on?
