"oh your fantasy football punishments are so boring. oh no one cares. oh there's more important stuff happening in the world."

I thought that too before my brother had to take a shot of a different fish sauce every day for a week and dedicate it to a different player on his last-place team

I sometimes think this website gets ahead of itself re: how much the rest of the country is ready to hear the ideas that are dominant here about how to respond to this or that thing. I do not think that here
Here’s the report from KARE. The boy is five-year-old Liam Ramos.

New episode of HANG UP AND LISTEN.

PGA Tour vs. LIV w/ Brendan Porath. Plus 40 really fun mins. with Chuck Klosterman talking about his new book, "Football." This was one of my fav conversations we've had in a while: slate.com/podcasts/han...
Brooks Koepka Is Back. Questions for LIV Golf Remain.
Despite many hundreds of millions of dollars, LIV Golf seems to have been fully sidelined by the PGA Tour just two years after its inception.

Indiana fans should all be making plans to
move forward with what I call The Pirate Plan (a contingency for giving up all sports forever if the Pirates ever win a World Series)
Thinking about following @alexkirshner.com and retire my career as a sports fan. Things will never be better than this.

Eight blocked punts for these guys the past two years. No other P4 team has more than five

A thing that I want to express is that it seems like it might be fairly easy to keep your head down and just go with the flow if you’re a privileged (white) person here, and not a single person I know has done this, despite fully knowing the risks. All are enraged by this ethnic cleansing campaign.

The Indiana Hoosiers' national title on the gridiron seemingly came out of nowhere. But @alexkirshner.com has the 19 numbers that put the program's rise in some perspective.

The 19 Numbers That Explain National Champion Indiana's Rise on the Football Field | Opta Analyst
Traditionally a basketball school, Indiana's rise on the gridiron was indeed shocking, but these 19 numbers should explain a lot about how they got here.

Weird career. Not a bad career! But I think most college football fans are going to remember Carson Beck as a dude who was more famous than he should've been
Carson Beck was really good until he wasn't, which was during important moments.

There will be more rags-to-riches stories in the new CFB. There ain't gonna be another Indiana, though. You'll never get the timing right

CFB coach rankings entering 2026:

1. Cignetti
1. Smart

3-10: Don't really care, but some order of Lanning, Day, Whittingham, Ferentz, DeBoer, Sitake, Freeman, and Mario sounds about right to me, before I realize I forgot someone obvious

OK. If I'm an Indiana football fan, that's it for me re: sports

Not just on a pick, but on a pick that was schemed up by just hoping Carson Beck would not notice the safety was near there
Carson Beck's college career was only ever going to end that way, if we are being honest about it

Completely brainless roughing the passer by 97. You cannot do that

Delay of game on the first play of this drive is a cruel joke

The great @itsfelder.bsky.social went on @splitzoneduo.com the other day and said that just like in The Waterboy, Charlie Becker's role is to identify which defensive player is Indiana's bitch. I think they found him!

The umpire got in Fisher's way big time on that Toney catch-and-run. Second huge play against Indiana this year where the umpire was a 12th man. Also happened at Penn State. The universe is going to make this hard

Sometimes you can see in real time that you are watching the most important player in the history of a sports organization

D'Angelo Ponds gives up a listed 77 pounds (let's be honest it's more if they're weighing in) to the guy he just blew up
January 20, 2026 at 3:16 AM
Malachi Toney has the look of a guy who's going to do something pretty dumb with the ball in his hands at some point very soon. Oh there's one
January 20, 2026 at 3:06 AM
Mario Cristobal has managed the hell out of the Playoff and not done anything I can really take issue with. He blew that one badly though. Possibly fatal. I know you can't run the ball but it's a 50-yarder from a non-elite college kicker

Kamara for Indiana (EDGE, 6, has been hurt lately) has been working the whole Miami OL and future lottery pick Mauigoa in particular on run reps
