During ratification of the 14th Amendment, senators discussed whether the Citizenship Clause would apply to the children of immigrants and resoundingly concluded that it did. The text and history all point in one direction and the counter-arguments are patently fraudulent. I am going to lose my mind
The evidence is the text. All you have to do is read the Constitution.

After 99 years, Michigan clockmaker Howard Miller is shutting down. The culprit: Trump's tariffs.

"If the federal government had said, ‘Oh, it's a 10% tariff, constant,' … they might've worked things out," an employee said. "But no. It's just chaos."

Now they will never know that just because the state is flat, doesn’t mean Earth is.
Heartbreaking. The University of Nebraska will terminate its entire Earth science department.

One of the country's most successful and respected geology & climate programs: gone.

When ideologues & politicians are threatened by the very act of studying climate change, I wonder: who of us is next?
It's over.

Despite the fact that the academic council recommended against it, despite the fact that the program brought in more tuition than it cost, and despite the fact that Nebraskans need & deserve this expertise, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences will be cut.

For the first time, the Kennedy Center Awards were presented in the tiny Oval Office instead of the Kennedy Center For Performing Arts. Donald used his now-vulgar Oval Office for the ceremony to avoid the embarrassment of TV audiences seeing an almost empty theater.

I've been saying this for a year now: the Democrats have missed a gigantic political opportunity--and, at this point, have failed in an ethical obligation--to create a shadow-government health department that dispenses medically accurate information, guidance, and advice.

The fact that CBER's chair does not understand the difference between pneumonia and pneumococcal is embarrassing. And not knowing that and still thinking he knows enough to assess the way the vaccines are testing - or the evidence about their effectiveness - is empty arrogance.

ICE/DHS should NOT be able to arbitrarily grab anyone out of their car and handcuff them. They especially should not do this to citizens. What recourse does she have??
