On one hand, President Trump is embroiled in controversy over a pardon of Juan Orlando Hernández, drug trafficker and former president of Honduras.

On the other, Trump is bombing small boats in the Caribbean under the pretext that they are trafficking drugs.

This is ridiculous. It was the first TRUMP admin which developed the cases against President Hernandez. His brother Tony Hernandez was indicted in 2018 and convicted in 2019, and key ally Geovanny Fuentes Ramirez was indicted in 2020.

Both were later sentenced to life in prison!

"Never spread the lie in the headline" should be a hard rule of 21st century journalism.

Research shows that repeating lies helps to spread them, and people read headlines more than they read stories.
News media has to do better with headlines that present false and unverified public health claims.
