finally AI comes for my job, a guy who writes erotica containing heavy use of the phrase “as a result”

That was my expectation but - gasp - the app and “ankle fracture” exercise set is really good, really challenging. Perfect.

The in-person physio said I should just “wiggle my toes” for now and be careful as “one person I heard of did too much and lost his foot”. I was halfway gone after that

Oh, it’s riddled with pins and plates down there now. I’ve had next to no advice in person (NHS doctors are usually in their next meeting during their current one) and online stuff is bleak - “two years on and I’m now jogging!” - it’s the unknown that’s proving the biggest challenge.

“Mr Gest, I really think you would be better speaking to an auction house. Sothebys? You’ve heard of them? Great. Best we could do is maybe 50p a CD. Ok. Nice to talk to you.”

How can you compete with that? Best I can do is when David Gest rang up to try and flog Michael Jackson’s record collection.

Graeme is one of my favourite follows on here. Great art, and it’s always a delight seeing what he picks to paint.

Ok it is #PortfolioDay again and I'm still not looking for work but would love your support either here on bSky or elsewhere. I'm an ageing Scotsman with less time on my hands everyday but I want to create and enjoy doing it.
Painting. A wooden gate leading to a field, the gate has the words 'ONE WAY STREET' badly painted on it in white paint. The field has old bracken that is turning golden in the fading summer light, above the sky is cloudy and in the distance some signs of trees and a distant town.

I've provided a new Strontium Dog drawing to be auctioned for @alderheycharity.org 's Children's Charity. Please share! Details as follows:

Yeah. Definitely worried about that. My old man had a hip replacement and walked like he still had a bad one for years afterwards as he had trained himself to walk like that.

I’m worried about overcompensating because of the pain and then having to “unlearn”.

Feels like that would be an admission! Am still on and off crutches. Some moments I can’t walk at all and then others I can manage without them. Getting no guidance which is probably why I’m spinning out.

“Hey, can I steal your car? I’ve got great plans for driving around in it, perhaps to the shops and back. I’ll even let you sit in the passenger seat sometimes, like.”

“Best regards, Ian” had me laughing. Bravo.

Hitting the wall with broken leg rehab. No idea how far I’ll get with it. When will I know what my new limit is? Will I need a stick? Will I be able to run again? Walk the dog even?

Venting.

If you gaze into the abyss long enough etc etc.

“One more time, old friend”
A sock puppet. Possibly a Roman god.

Is right. Abnett obvs, but MacNeil typically brilliant as well, in yet another style.

Bear with me. Only got a few thousand stories to go.

That’s lovely, Matt.

It’s a real comfort, isn’t it?

The televised game is one thing, but there’s a real following of people who only listen to it on the radio, more for how the presenters fill time and what they talk about. Very much ASMR.
