I'm pretty sure this isn't Twitter, but let's hang out anyway. I've spent 20 years reporting on games and pop culture for Ars Technica, Penny Arcade, and Polygon. I've set the internet on fire a few times, in fact! Don't worry though, I'm nowhere near done
I am never not thinking about The Chair Company. I'm absolutely at my limit.

I'm online too much
Digital Eclipse 'remastered' Mortal Kombat and they've messed things up so during Johnny Cage's fatality you can now see the crew men with the blood hose on the right

I can't emphasize this enough: If you're struggling to find work in games, you're not the only one and please don't blame yourself. The horrible state of the industry is unprecedented. The crash in the 80s and the recession in the late 2000s weren't as rough as this. There are so few opportunities.

I have never once consented to hearing anything about Linux in any context but suddenly all the cool kids are experimenting with Linux and I'm not sure what to do.

(Please don't actually talk to me about Linux I buy old Chromebooks so they can't even run Linux. Literally impossible.)

Fun fact: Kpop Demon Hunters was made by Sony, who thought it would flop, so it was sold to Netflix completely for $25 million. No one expected it to do very well.

So no one had a merchandising plan in place, which takes a LONG time to set up.
Who else is half panicking because they had their 5yo write a letter to Santa and, naively, assumed that Huntrix dolls would be widely available? Y'all, none of the name brands will have anything before next year (for Mattel, it looks like at least October 2026).

Im going handmade but wtf?!

First snow day of the year! This is going to be an adventure to make all the schedules work with the kids and work and I have a poor kitty to try to bury and the ground is now frozen so this is going to be an interesting challenge.

I'm going to have a good December, but rough start so far.

The loss feels relentless in the beginning.

I'll go downstairs for a soda and then instinctively look for her in different places but I'm never going to find her again.
Heidi went on to her reward this afternoon, after we rescued her five years ago.

She had a rough early life, lost most of her teeth before we had her, and was already an adult when we took her in. We were warned she just looked grumpy, but all she wanted to do was cuddle.

Our hearts are broken.

You don't have to argue with racist relatives, you can just chill out in a fairy village with your kids. It's an option. Don't let anyone tell you it isn't.

Season 3 of Homeland has the opposite of the Mission: Impossible problem.

Mission: Impossible is based on the idea people in the government will always doubt the best guy they have.

Homeland is the government saying "THIS time, though? These two will do GREAT together, let's risk it all!

If we've learned anything from corporate grifts & failures, it's that the boy who pointed out that the emperor was naked would've been hanged before anyone admitted any wrongdoing.

The emperor would slowly begin wearing clothes again, claiming the old clothes just werent the right market fit.

If you're referencing clock tower be sure to stretch in the mornings or your back will hurt by dinner time
i think scissorman in the clock tower video game is just what happens if you get a giant pair of scissors without the regulating power of mayorship, which helps you control and channel the powers of the giant scissors. even with this, many mayors still succumb to the corruption of the scissors

It's like Alien's motion tracker: the game.

1) I do not know how long they can keep this going
2) This is one of the most emotionally riveting shows on TV

So you're telling me it's extra forbidden, decadent, and sexy? That should get people to stop, folks sure hate being sinful during their adult times, it doesn't add anything extra thrill at all.

Now tell me snacking is sinful, you dirty pope.
