Clinton, as First Lady, then Secretary of State, backed numerous initiatives to immiserate countless migrants' lives and caused so much death in other countries. She and Obama used the state apparatus to destabilize Libya, for example.

If she wants to be left alone she can shut up about politics.

You're saying that a better future is impossible without permission from elected officials who are only accountable to donors. For decades now, voters' influence has been overridden by wealthy lobbies. This can't be fixed without optimism for revolution rather than delusion for reform.

the mainstream just did not give a shit in the mid-2000s as things escalated with state laws stipulating DHS cooperation and groups like the minutemen, because they affected this presumably invisible underclass of people. it became one of those 'single issue' things.
