I don't believe "everything happens for a reason."
But I do choose to believe everything that happens to me & all of my responses, even the very imperfect ones, can teach me something I can use to strengthen & stabilize my trauma recovery.

"They" are going to try to convince you you are "responsible" for their emotional reactions-- because "they" are not working a recovery. Those of us who are working our trauma recovery know, & remember, that we cannot "make" anyone feel anything or "control" anyone's behavior.

To understand the life of a person with cPTSD, is to understand they’ve experienced multiple traumas and after each one, people taught them how to adapt to that pain, rather than making the traumas stop.

For those not in those circles, I just need to remind you that losing a job to AI is not a vibes based idea. We are being told explicitly by art directors that we are being weighed against AI for jobs, people on teams fighting against the AD and you. It sucks. It’s demoralizing.

I don't care if a non-disabled person accesses a disability accommodation for the same reason I don't care if a child whose parents are rich gets free lunch at school. We don't need to means test being a kind person. I have better things to do with my time than be a cop over social services.

Evening before Thanksgiving, our ginger kitty (L) had a severe allergic reaction. Emergency vet saved him, but he wasn’t bouncing back like we’d hoped, and a follow-up visit for further testing revealed pneumonia. We would deeply appreciate help with affording his care. ❤️

I am loving the way this pink eye shadow makes my eyes look sunken in and emphasizes the shadows under my eyes. I look like I've got the plague and it's great. Helps get people to leave me alone.
