The fundamental thing to understand about this administration is the president is a grumpy retiree. He has no interest in working anymore. Which leads to him being pissed that he is getting asked a question, pissed he has to show up and work, the scheming viziers running the show, etc..

i feel like if it was just the crazy sex stuff this would be the take but there's a big "she consistently acted in ways that should have ended her career as a political journalist and nobody cared". like, she told the rfk jr campaign who was *her source* that was leaking stories from the campaign

Butternut squash pie with toasted pecans and the turkey. I put garden herbs and butter under the skin and lemon, apple, celery, onion, many spices and more herbs (garlic, basil, thyme, sage, rosemary) in the water bath. Add vegetables, and this makes soup that will cure anything. #Thanksgiving2025

I think that’s a clear signal of who gets to work in journalism / media and who doesn’t. That you can help elevate a presidential candidate that you’re having a romantic relationship with, advise and strategize for him, and keep your position. But if you so much as post about Gaza then that’s it.

I think plenty of it speaks to the state of the media, but an obvious one is that Vox and Vanity Fair barely investigated her and that she managed to commit an unforgivable journalistic crime before getting a book deal and walking into another prestige job, while plenty of others are being laid off
