We must prosecute him for using public office for enriching himself with well over a billion dollars.

It is the most staggering corruption the US has ever seen.
Trump raises the price of the ballroom to $350 million

(It changed from $200 million, then $300 million, now $350 million within the course of a few days)

"Well, I don't think we're gonna necessarily ask for a declaration of war. I think we're just gonna kill people that are bringing drugs into our country. Okay? We're gonna kill them. You know, they're gonna be, like, dead. Okay? Yeah."

Trump has abandoned even the pretext of following the law.

This is such a great callout…

Does your Christian church have a plan to help the community when SNAP benefits don’t go out in November?

If not, you’re at the wrong church.

Odds are this aggressively did not happen. But it would of course be just as unconstitutional to spend money donated to the government without a duly enacted appropriation as it is to spend tax money that way.
Trump: "By the way, a friend of mine called us the other day and he said 'I'd like to contribute any shortfall you have because of the Democrat shutdown. I'd like to contribute any shortfall you have with the military.' Today, he sent us a check for $130 million. It's gonna go the military."

The media treated Biden's poll numbers, which were better than Trump's, as a major storyline that merited constant coverage and analysis.
Enten: "Trump is doing absolutely awful in the minds of the American people. We're talking about new lows. CNBC, -13 net approval on the economy. It's -19 among Quinnipiac ... He's not just beating himself with record lows -- this is the lowest for any president ever."

“The Congress is adrift,” said Senator Lisa Murkowski, Republican of Alaska. “It’s like we have given up. And that’s not a good signal to the American public.”

The President hauled off and took a wrecking ball to the White House 9 months after moving in, that's gotta matter.

Over the past week, the president said the DOJ should pay him a quarter billion dollars, bulldozed half the White House to build himself a gaudy ballroom, bragged about murdering civilians in international waters, pardoned some more criminals, directed federal prosecutors to indict his opponents ...

Here are a few buildings you’ve probably heard of but maybe think of less as places than as associated historical events:

the Bastille
the Winter Palace
the Alamo
Harper’s Ferry
Fort Sumter
the Reichstag

civic religion is a thing and that’s the mfing temple right there

should it be, at long last, the thing that breaks the fever? probably not

but people really do care about buildings

The difference between this coming recession and the covid recession and the 2008 recession is we have a government that actively doesn’t give a shit about mitigation of harm for people

And they think people will just keep taking it
