People on this site love to talk about narratives, but obviously very few of them have read theory.
I fucking have. I've read shit by the Situationist International and Ken Keysey. Power relies on narratives that reinforces their power, and subverting or destroying the narrative *hurts* them.

Most people don't like bigots and Nazi-lovers, but they also don't pay much attention to politics and are not inclined to believe stuff like this. So seeing hard evidence matters.

We had Angela Davis speak at my university a couple of years back. One of the many insightful things she said - protest in the way that aligns with your passion. If that’s poetry do poetry or music etc. Because then you will be able to sustain it. If naked bike rides are your passion, 100% do that.

I will tell you why fun socks are bad in a tailored outfit. 🧵

In a thread about Pete Hegseth's fun socks, I write: "If you're wearing tailored clothing (suits, sport coats, tailored trousers), the safe, conservative option is to wear over-the-calf socks in a color that matches your pants. So grey socks with grey pants, tan socks with tan pants. Additionally, solid navy will always work with anything except black suits or tuxedos, which call for black socks."
