Several years ago at a con, you spoke gently and at length with a friend of mine who deals with social anxiety (as do I).

She came away a different, bolder person. She still talks about it.

When I met you and your husband in Vegas at the end of 2023, you said Hi and then vanished. I didn’t know what to make of it at the time. Social anxiety makes a lot of sense. Next time let’s get more than 5 words in and I’m buying a signed Birds of Prey or Secret Six book from you. :)

I don't think the best writer who ever lived could depict even 10% of experiencing it. Sometimes IRL things just don't convert well to fiction.
