Hockey Romance would smell like the hockey LI's cologne which I don't think I ever decided on what he actually smells like... or maybe popcorn? Idk hockey doesn't smell good lol. Her perfume is jasmine I think.

It did not stick the landing. There were DOZENS of typos, it was 100 pages too long, and the smut was not sexy, boring, repetitive and literally didn't add anything except page count. I stopped caring.
3 stars but hesitant to recommend and won't buy this author again.

Started this one last night.
Not as good as Temple of Swoon and I find some of the writing choices to be cringey. It's good so far though, and I can't wait to go to bed so I can read more 😹😹

So I do these online surveys and research projects sometimes (when they accept me) and I have been stiffed multiple times, just not getting paid, and complaints do nothing. This time I was supposed to get $10 and they only sent me $1 after I went out of my way to do the $10 task. I'm pissed.

The Youtooz Terriermon plushie I ordered for a gift finally arrived and WOW! The quality is SO GOOD. Everything is embroidered and even his nails are 3D, not just flat felt pieces. I'm very impressed and will 100% order again if I see my faves.

Y'all book people don't understand genre:
Romance as a genre ends with a HEA or HFN. If the book is not a standalone, eg part of a trilogy, the HEA does not need to happen in the 1st book.

If the story does not end with a HEA or HFN, eg someone in the pair dies, it's a tragedy.

It's THE GENRE.

Opened a book on Kobo, saw a list of trigger warnings and over 700 pages, decided I didn't have the energy for that right now, picked out a different book on my list. 😹

It can be but it also has Patreon-like function but it does have a no-NSFW clause that I think is specifically only for adult/smut etc. I use it to sell my editing/marketing and as an educational blog, which is free for now.

If it isn't adult (nsfw) there's always ko-fi. If it's free-to-read Wattpad is an option I guess? (I haven't looked into it as deeply as I should but I know they do original work as much as fanfic, and a lot of stories have been published.)
