Cute argument. However I have already depicted you as the flouncing cavalier and myself as the professional roundhead. Your cavalry is doomed.

Between what came before and what happened tonight, Dems ought to treat encounters with CBS reporters as presumptively hostile and untrustworthy. A small thing, but there’s no way out of this disaster if the party continues helplessly submitting to unequal treatment from ~all mediating institutions.

All I want is one single reporter to ask him if he thinks people seeking asylum = means from insane asylums
O'DONNELL: Are we going to war against Venezuela?

TRUMP: I doubt it. They emptied their mental institutions and insane asylums into the United States of America

Weird.

It's almost like her current boyfriend, the director of the FBI who flies her around the nation on government jets, might have shared information that would normally be limited to trusted law enforcement circles.

But that can't be right, because that would probably be a *crime*
Kash Patel’s girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, warns that additional sleeper cells are preparing to launch attacks across the United States.

How many 26-year-old, aspiring country singers do you know of who are featured media guests on sleeper cell attacks?

On the other site, an 18-year-old Zohran canvasser described the legendary Wallace Shawn as "the actor who plays Dr. Sturgis on Young Sheldon" which is honestly adorable

This performer at Trump’s Great Gatsby party should clear up any suspicions about whether or not he’s in the Epstein Files.
Always, and hopefully in the afterlife too. He loves small “Christian” men.

If California voters fail to pass Prop 50, the GOP could steal enough House seats to pass a nationwide abortion ban after 20 weeks, overriding state laws. Don't expect the Senate filibuster to save us—they might nuke it to end the shutdown

I used to think this was just alarmist grifting but I am no longer so sure. While other outcomes remain very possible, the fully undemocratic one is now at least as likely.
The thing about Johnson not swearing in Grijalva is that’s it a test for 2026.

If you think they will accept an outcome they don’t like, they will just Grijalva it.

So what’s the plan when the GOP says “we ain’t leaving, fuck you, make us.”

Because that IS what they are going to say.

The Jewish right discovering in real time that the Trumpist right, and the open bigotries it has unleashed upon the US body politic, is not in fact going to spare Jews, is quite a trip.

As SNAP hangs in the balance for nearly 42 million people, misinformation is rampant. Myths of laziness and fraud persist when we should be talking about too low wages for workers, income inequality, and our threadbare social safety net.

In this guest post, Adam Chandler sorts fact from fiction:
SNAP benefits feed essential needs while still leaving many hungry for more
Journalist and author Adam Chandler explains what so much of the conversation about them gets wrong.

the SNAP thing is a good illustration of one of the ways Trump has been captured by the Republican establishment and not the other way around

when he first came onto the scene he had an instinctual understanding that “fuck the poors” was bad optics

now? gatsby parties while they starve
