Mijn posts zijn meer therapeutisch. “Effect” hebben (mijn) uitspraken zelden. Degenen die zich aangesproken voelen, doen het vaak vrij goed of hebben geen macht over de framing (redacteuren). En degenen die het het meest nodig hebben, zien of het probleem niet of herkennen de kritiek niet.

De Nederlandse media is echt volledig van het padje af. Wat begon als overcompensatie na Fortuyn is verworden tot een moreel moeras waarin uiterst-rechtse ideeen zo genormaliseerd zijn dat veel journalisten ze niet als zodanig herkennen of ze zonder scrupulus monitariseren.

I wonder how many of these Dutch people are like me, living abroad for decades and knowing they will never return… so why vote? Seems unfair to “influence” an election you are barely impacted by.

If you apply Peter Mair’s framework of “responsible” politics to contemporary U.S. politics, it means listening to the markets/donors for Democrats and to Trump for Republicans.
