Meanwhile, representatives of those districts are fighting to extend ACA subsidies — more than half of which go to people in GOP-held districts.
Remember this.
What we have is an appropriations king.
Spending “deals” are meaningless under that setup.
Millions on Medicaid will lose coverage. Millions on ACA plans could see premiums rise by 114% per latest estimates.
Every lie told about the shutdown is meant to cover this up.

Democrats should ignore the carping of corporate-backed Wall Street Democrats and embrace Zohran Mamdani and other young progressives as the future of the party.
Any one of us could be on the next boat that Trump bombs on a whim.
Any one of us could be detained for hours despite being a U.S. citizen.
Authoritarianism hurts all of us.
But that illusion is harder to maintain if millions of people are in the streets protesting.
