I get the strategy, but it seems a bad fit for a pre-pre-pre-primary season where the Democratic base wants their leaders to hate Republicans MORE (or in some cases just recognize that they're the opposing party at all)

no you are 100% correct that this a human part of writing that is lost when people “cognitively offload” parts of the writing process
and being able to recognize how your writing process reflects your writing means you’re at least a decent writer ^^

If you are *driven* to the latter, it's not that you lose yourself, you had yourself stolen from you. And, sadly, we need to recognize that that is the case for an awful lot of people. Many good Americans just aren't there any more, and in their place is a person who is dead inside.

If that do be closer to what's going on, sounds like what happend not long ago with Markiplier where he was getting jumped 'cause one of his editors used a stock photo for a thumbnail, but didn't recognize it as AI at the time. I HOPE it's something relatively innocent like that, anyway.

I'm using Firefox Mobile instead of any of the forks specifically for its on-device auto translation. It's extremely useful for accessing sites all over Europe. I wish people would recognize there are categories of functionality under "AI".

I agree the photo should have alt text to provide a name but if it's not a name or face you recognize, looking it up or ignoring it are the normal things to do
