The motive in soft pedaling truth is a big problem. NPR wants more maggot readers and listeners. It’s not happening. Tell the truth. The headline should give a summary of what that is and let the chips fall where they may. Or move to human interest and let real investigative reports do hard news.

I concluded they overlooked the possibility that it didn’t exist because they didn’t pursue best confirmation methods. I surmised it was an electronic or digital creation. Someone call Chi. Brought home the notion that soon AI will be capable of creating this chaos. Terrifying.

I had no issue w the ending. I also didn’t conclude that a decision was made. I was preoccupied with why no one had called Great Lakes to put a bird in the sky to get a visual. So either the ending was the result of bad writing or it was good writing conveying incompetence. Not sure and fine w that.
