Their “but the stock market/our stock portfolios” reasoning remains strong.
The Chief Justice of the United States will literally change the rules of the Supreme Court of the United States instead of divesting in individual stocks.
NEW: The Supreme Court will begin requiring litigants in March to list the stock ticker for each party involved in a case to make it easier to check if a justice has a conflict of interest that might require recusal. #SCOTUS

Ok, sorry for the delay on this one, but I had to do extra research and networking on this one because, shocker, I don’t know everything about every department at SSA and phone rep training is not something I have had to do. Obviously this is not the correct way to handle this so let’s dive in. 😬😬😬
‘Suicide is only one option': Social Security staff newly assigned to phone duties raise concerns over training
Experts and SSA employees question wisdom of telling callers in crisis that suicide is an option.

That last sentence? That's the strategy. They've been pretty open about it.
“They’re trapped in this little confinement cell, a dark cell with no sunlight, with multiple people,” said Shaan Chatterjee, an attorney at New England Immigration Law. “They’re basically torturing people into signing off on their own deportation.”

Any state that agrees to this should have all their votes thrown out. Surrendering election administration to a dictator violates the fundamental social contract of the Constitution in several ways, not the least of which is surrendering state sovereignty and the rights of their voters.
I assume the plan is to "analyze" voter files the same way DOGE treated federal grants: prompt an LLM with racist conspiracy theories and cancel everything the machine picks
The DOJ has asked states to agree to sign a secret agreement “in connection w/ handing over their full voter files.” The agreement says that “the DOJ will ‘test, analyze, & assess states’ [voter rolls]’ & send each participating state a list of voters who must be removed within 45 days.” 2/5/26 …1/

The argument was that capital formation was critical to success, that if you wanted bigger actions, that required fewer decision makers, that somehow these handful of people were doing is a favor by buffering us from destabilizing levels of income … The argument was bullshit.
What we’re seeing didn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of decades of political choices that prioritized the wealthy and powerful over working people.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

The Dow was at 43,488 when Trump took office. It just hit 50,000.

So if you had invested $43,488 in the US, you would now have $50,000. But if you had invested the same amount in the rest of the world, you would now be worth $60,000.

✅ The killing
✅ Of another
✅ With malice
✅ Aforethought

- More people will die
- It’s certain, not speculative
- He’s doing this on purpose
- Well ahead of time

Those are the elements of murder.

You don’t have to know which people you’re killing in order for it to qualify as murder.

One thing that should be in any negotiated DHS funding is that they have to remove the word “Police” from everything the wear and use. They are not police. They don’t have the same powers. They don’t follow the same (any?) rules. They don’t get to have the same name.

Good but, he’s not on the ballot (hopefully ever again) so, how many of *these* voters know there’s an election in November, will show up, and will vote for a Congress that will remove him?
New poll: In 2024, low-engagement voters went for Trump over Harris by 11 percentage points. But now they disapprove of the way he's handling the presidency by 13. They have moved 25 points against Trump — 2x as large as the shift for high-knowledge voters www.gelliottmorris.com/p/trump-lost...
Trump has lost the voters who weren’t paying attention in 2024
The least-engaged Americans have swung 25 points against him since 2024 — about twice the shift among everyone else. Trump has flattened the engagement gap.
