Mike Burrows in 2025: 97th percentile in offspeed run value (+9).

Just tweak that four-seam fastball shape and location a bit…

no one has ever lost their fastball harder than james l brooks

Shane Baz finally put together a full, healthy season with Rays in 2025. He's coming to the Orioles with 3 years of control ('26, '27, '28).

5-pitch mix, including a 4-seam fastball that averaged 97 mph last season and maxed out at 100.4.

Some solid stuff, also room to grow.

My favorite thing from the 2025 MLB Season:

Learning that Aroldis Chapman's resurgent season was due to Connor Wong calling for an "inside fastball" over PitchCom during spring training and that was the first time that he realized he could decide to aim the pitch before throwing.

Kendrys Morales 💥 HOMER! 🏠

I get some satisfaction in watching Jake Paul get knocked out but it's deflated by the fact that, c'mon, he's 100% fine with getting knocked out. He's not trying to win a belt, he's like the regular guy who tries to hit an MLB fastball or tackle a running back. Failing is part of the Content

Well it's not improper...

But yeah. If there's no defense then it's a game, not a sport.
But still, it's the next hardest thing to do behind hitting a fastball.

hearing wip minus Monto and then wip con Monto is a fantastic reminder how talented he is and how much he brings to that and any dynamic on the ticket. I'm a broken record but his comedic fastball is better than Gordo's at this point. he's brilliant at picking his spots and doesn't overeffort

are you as the 2026 Orioles beating the Rays on pitch design here? Do you just not care about release traits yet and still think this is an elite fastball like prospect writers from the end of last decade?

Gabe Landeskog was probably interfered with there ... but he also just threw his stick off the glass next to the #Avs bench. There was some real heat on that fastball.

Rather surprised he didn't get a penalty for that. That was ... unsafe, to put it mildly.

MAGA world divided over Trump’s Reiner rant really is a sign of how much he’s lost his fastball. He’d never have outrun his own audience like this in his prime.

The one-liner about who the target demo for this restaurant is was a 100mph fastball straight down the pipe

Not a Real Deck, but most decks can’t handle 15 Omega Sentinel blasts (even before involving Galactus).

Just practicing for Fastball Special! 😉

Shoutout to my awesome opponent – there were many friendly back-and-forth emotes not shown in the clip! 😊

I think this point is worth expanding upon: Strahm was still very very good in 2025, but he's a 34-year-old extreme flyball pitcher with a fastball that is backing up very fast. "What he was last year" and "what he projects to be in 2026" may have very different answers
I’d have to think really hard about whether I’d prefer Bowlan or Strahm for 2026, but the fact that everyone immediately called it a slam dunk windmill for KC really concerns me for the state of public analysis given what those two pitchers actually look like on a pitch performance basis

Show us the way,earwormers
🎶They made up their minds
And they started packing
They left before the sun came up that day
An exit to eternal summer slacking
But where were they going without ever knowing the way?🎶

Like take a look at one 99 MPH fastball at the top of the zone and then a sharp knuckle curve that tunnels with it and tell me Dean can do that.

Things that irrationally bug me: the lyrics of Glory Days by Bruce Springsteen. “He could throw that speed ball by you.” Fastball was right there. So was curveball.

"Wily Mo Pena gets a fastball" type post here.
(let's remember a guy, shall we?).
Returning to twitter to minister to the hogs and do my part to improve the conversation. Fixing Andrew Tate's heart by talking about the NBA with him. Replying "Are you watching Plurbus" to a Rod Dreher post about demonic possession and kicking off a healing round of good-natured discourse.

mfs getting paid 8 figures to waggle their index finger once to signal a fastball and then crying because they have to think of another

But that 48 mph fastball is devastating.
