If you've got a history book at home, take it out, throw it in the bin, it's worthless. The history books, now, will have to be rewritten. They'll quite simply say "The OBR released a budget analysis 25 minutes early". Everything else will be a footnote.
Mate you need to chill the fuck out lmao

Remembering the 3rd February 2020 speech Johnson gave where he declared that the UK would have a market advantage by not taking pandemic measures, it seems clear that he was uniquely unsuited to be in charge at that point

I’ve often called this song—“Just Like Heaven”—the finest single of the 80s and meant it. This cover’s arrangement only confirms it for me 💜🔥

Just catching up with this amazing bit of London Centric reporting and this is such an excellent description of the weird epistemic ambiguity produced by AI: "There’s clearly something political about it but nobody knows what it is." www.londoncentric.media/p/ai-artwork...
London's giant AI artwork to be torn down
The bizarre story of why a much-talked-about creation is being torn down. Plus: Docklands Light Railway extension, giant laser stalks the night sky, and more tales of Android phone theft rejection.

The irony of the Blue Labour rhetoric is actually how prejudicial it is about the white working class.
why do I emphasize the Manchester-ness of this? because Blue Labour 'thinkers' try to portray themselves as authentic representatives of a neglected Northern working class. But while there's plenty of racism in the North, as anywhere else, there's also a long history of integration and anti-racism.
