Today I woke up increasingly fucking angry about this. I'm sure 10+ billion hours of children scrolling an endless dopamine hit of slop games is 100% fine for their development, right?
I don't look at this as market opportunity. I look at this with genuine fear for the next generation.

Monkey’s Paw: The next morning, you check the Nintendo YouTube channel for a reveal trailer, and find nothing; you check your game and he's not there either. Assuming the wish didn't work, you are suddenly filled with a drive to learn to code and apply to work for Nintendo. Miraculously, this works out, and in a matter of years you are on the development team for the next Smash game. Unfortunately, the game is canceled before it's even announced, and all you have to show for it is a dev build where the only finished characters are Mario, Link, and Waluigi.
While you did manage to preserve the build despite Nintendo's orders to destroy it, you are not able to show or even talk about this build to anyone else. You, and only you, can play as Waluigi in Smash.
