Hey all, my husband @kevinonthelam.bsky.social found out that he’s going to be laid off next month. 🥺He’s a Staff Character Animator who has been working on The Outer Worlds 2. We’d greatly appreciate any leads that you have, because times are expensive and we have two little boys. 🙏 Thank you!

So glad we’re burning down rainforests and drying up lakes to help total losers masturbate in an entirely new way

It’s raining today for the first time in like 6mo and my kids are so excited (and so am I)! I wish I could lay in bed all day and read books.

Dammit now you’re making me want to go but we blew our financial load on HHN this year 😭

I know I’m super late to the party but I finally watched the finale of The Rehearsal S2 and that might be one of the most absurd things (in a good way) that I’ve ever watched. Like, what the actual fuck?? Nathan Fielder is something else, man.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

Ah lots of places I’ve spent very little time. Sounds awesome though!

I’m curious how many cities actually DO have a walking culture. I’ve lived in SF, San Diego, Austin TX, St. Paul, and now Orange County CA and I’ve never lived anywhere with a real walking culture. Sometimes bikes, but never walking. I feel like it’s maybe just NYC and Chicago?

I have two children under SpEd (one with 504, one with an IEP) and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to fight for them to have access to every single bit of support they’re entitled to at school. Special Education is not a partisan issue. This is ghoulish.

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

These Rube Goldberg things at playgrounds are a really cool idea but they last like a month. I’ve never seen one that wasn’t broken, jammed with leaves and trash, missing the important components. We can’t have nice things. 😥

I really enjoyed this book. Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green. I've been off the nonfiction train for a hot minute, but this one has really sucked me in. If you have interest in things like public health, systemic inequalities, third world countries...it's fascinating.

She also sat BEHIND her orchestra, not in front. And they played Billie’s Strange Fruit. Just so much symbolism.

“An artist’s duty is..to reflect the times” - Nina Simone. Hell yeah.

Hell yes Hayley Williams, this is how an absolute queen writes lyrics in 2025. She’s out here critiquing southern white nationalism and performing with a black orchestra youtu.be/sNNYei__joU?... That’s what’s up 👏👏

One cool feature of Steam is they provide a Harassment Zone for each game you announce. It's a place for people who hate progress to come and crap all over games they haven't even played. No, they won't help you moderate it, but hey, at least you can't delete it!

I think MMOs of that scale are just enormous risks, lauded team or not.
