I am neither of these things but I am an architectural historian and some things were absolutely and beyond a doubt built as a bit, so, seems plausible to me
I wonder how paleontologists and anthropologists factor in the possibility that some ancient people laid out their remains as some type of elaborate bit

Someone shared an interior progress shot of the Thompson Center on Reddit. Just sharing here in case the OP deletes the original thread and photo. It looks like all of the upper office levels are enclosed, but the big atrium space will live on.

For MAS Context, I investigated what happened to Gerri's Palm Tavern, a legendary Bronzeville venue established in 1933 that survived World Wars, urban renewal, disinvestment, and urban attrition, but ended up a victim of aldermanic prerogative, and an ill conceived development plan.

This is how Chicagoans react to being harassed. This is how we escalate. This is how we win.
Moments ago: tenants of the South Shore apartment building that federal immigration agents raided at the end of September held a presser to announce they're forming a tenants union.

They're demanding, among other things, sewage removal and heat and electricity restroration.

More updates TK.

The irony of these people complaining about the invented dangers of immigrants and then welcoming brain pollution from overseas hustlers.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

The Haitian Revolution (1804) is the most memory-holed and anonymous event that still completely defines reactionary grievance. Whether Fuentes, et al., have ever heard of it or not, they’re still reacting to it.
Gavin and Tanner, planned and trained for nearly a year, legal documents say, in an elaborate attempt to invade a Haitian island, kill its Black men, enslave its Black women and Black children and fulfill their "rape fantasies."
