I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Come with me back to my hometown of Newcastle for a truly chilling poltergeist case. It's 1997, and a house of disaffected goths are about to experience something that really will make their hair stand on end😱👻😱

*original Bungle klaxon*

The daleks and cybermen have never been the same since I learnt they had Zippy's voice(s).
RAINBOW (1972) was originally conceived as Britain's answer to Sesame Street, and Geoffrey, George, Zippy and Bungle would eventually become household names. But the first series featured a maniacal, wide-eyed, terrifying prototype of cuddly old Bungle Bear...

Grandma's first encounter with cranberry sauce is still regularly referenced.

"What is it?"
"Cranberry sauce."
"What's in it?"
"Cranberries."
"What are they made of?"
"Cranberries!"

The correct and proper response to ANY and ALL 'naming rights' of venues etc is to use the old, well-established name.

You are under precisely ZERO OBLIGATION to use that name / promote that corporation.
At all.
I most certainly will not

I still remember buying something like this at the Scholastic Book Fair when I was kid, and it was like the future had just arrived.

Want green ink? It could do that.
Red ink? No problem.
Purple? Of course.
What about orange? Whatever, kid.

So much cooler than an iPhone.
