Again, Kodi was originally XBMC, which was developed for the original Xbox. Plex budded off of that. The idea of a living room PC that’s actively pleasant to use by a normal person but doesn’t sand any edges off has been a weird holy grail for a long time.

If you want to buy a small living room streaming box that isn’t an Apple TV your choices are an ancient Nvidia Shield or something called an Ugoos, and honestly if it JUST did that it’d be a godsend for huge nerds that run shit like CoreELEC.

I hope Valve comes along and does Steam Machines again because I’m fairly convinced it’d work this time. They have a good sense of adult product design, and I’m wondering how well it would work as a media PC, which was one of the greatest unofficial achievements of the original Xbox!

Due to complex copyright reasons they can’t use the spider man set online so they had to come up with a set that’s exactly the same but with none of the spider man stuff, so they made a fantasy equivalent for the bagel.
