I would work 2-3 days a week doing something useful, and spend the rest of my time writing, drawing, and hiking.

I would also quit stressing so much about money.
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?

This is a flaw in the way capitalists have designed the modern economy, not in us.

"Device hoarding" is GOOD for the environment and for our individual wallets.

"Devices" used to be made to last 10+ years—or lifetimes!

Sewing machines from the 1890s and typewriters from the 1910s still work!
If a phone still works fine, it’s not “device hoarding” to keep using it. It’s common sense.

A “shift to looser regulation is ‘likely to reduce the resilience of the banking sector to systemic market shocks.’”

A key lesson from 2008 was “heavily indebted banks lacked the equity capital to absorb large losses, leaving regulators [to let] banks fail or bail them out to protect depositors.”

In 2013, Whole Foods workers in Chicago staged a “Strikesgiving” walkout to demand Thanksgiving off.

A year later, they won: no more mandatory shifts, voluntary sign-ups, and double pay for those who work.

Proof that organizing works.

WORD! I grew up dirt poor and I always had some cheap pencils, an eraser and a notebook (even with lines or grids) to draw on.
There's so much more art than digital art. And you DO NOT need an expensive monitor! My drawing tablets were max 40e.
FireAlpaca is free, too.
mate a cheap sketchpad and a pack of pencils is less than a fiver down the pound shop. you can also write with them! barrier to entry for writing and drawing is wide open, they're literally for everyone. i was poor as shit as a kid and it never stopped me writing.
“Poor people have a right to art!”

They sure do. So get to it.
