People keep posting about how “maybe Leavitt will learn a lesson now that it’s happening to her sister-in-law” and…you are missing a key point. The woman is Leavitt’s brother’s *ex* & Leavitt’s entire family - including her brother & his new wife - seem pretty eager to deport this woman.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...

Agreed. Pump the brakes people. This is only slightly more possible than GOP congresspeople bailing.
Really hope I’m wrong, but my sense is that expectations are too high in the Tennessee race. This state is really, really Trumpy, and hasn’t soured on him nearly as much as the rest of the country.

I think we can safely say that the Leavitt's brother called ICE on his ex, the mother of his child, and I have to say: I have no desire to respect, find common ground or share the country with these monsters.

There were two bylines on that story. One of them was a guy. But Trump singles out the woman, and he brands her ugly. This is who the man is.

Pathetic cowards.
Pathetic. Utterly pathetic

GOP Members of Congress correctly noting that the White House treats them like garbage, Speaker Mike Johnson lets it happen because he wants to, the legislature has been usurped, so… they’ll quit, rather than vote for a new Speaker or do oversight of the executive branch.

Over 600 people were sanctioned for comments made after Charlie Kirk's killing. (One man spent 37 days in jail for sharing a meme about Republicans' indifference to gun violence.)

But Trump can implicitly threaten to hang Democratic members of Congress and it's old news before the weekend's over.

Gregory Bovino’s deposition is out. Check here and @chicagotribune.com for highlights. Throughout, Bovino was evasive and combative. In this, while being asked about a photo showing him throwing tear gas, Bovino said: “You said canister. I threw two. That’s plural.”
