Why is the "we must be united!" hectoring directed at people who are mad at the Cavers and not to the Cavers? Everyone who's mad was united, then the Cave Caucus walked across the aisle and betrayed what the public had been told was the Dem position.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Two-thirds of California's power comes from clean energy.

For 9 in 10 days so far this year, we were 100% powered for some part of the day by clean energy.

The Golden State has become the world's fourth-largest economy because of our climate leadership, not in spite of it.

“Worldbuilding” has become synonymous with the creation of endlessly exploitable IP. This doesn’t resemble what’s going on with Elysium, which is both too expansive in scale and too scathing in its analysis of our own reality to be so reduced.

The Democratic move away from the Middle Class and labor started with Bill Clinton.

Mitch Landrieu: And one of the clear reasons why we lost is because not to be too simple, but people that used to vote for us, stopped voting for us, and that was primarily the working class folks.

Call your senators today to demand Schumer and Durbin step down.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now

“But they have to!”

We are long past that. Republicans have been breaking the law every single day since January, with zero consequences. They are emboldened to continue, and go farther.

I will not be surprised if they simply continue pretending Rep Grijalva’s election never happened.
Rep. Adrian Smith R-NE ignores Democrats on the floor and adjourns the House until Wednesday. Adelita Grijalva was elected on Sept. 23 and still has not been sworn into office. It may finally happen later this week.

the Rosetta Stone of dem politics is the 2006 senate primary which incumbent Joe Lieberman lost in part for making out with George Bush

He ran anyway, won with GOP support, dems let him keep his seniority, chairmanships and perks & he rewarded them by obstructing the ACA & killing the public option
An important question you cannot skip over in pursuit of the Primary Them All solution is: how likely is it that defeating entitled narcissists in a primary will actually stop them from running?

New at Can We Still Govern? New Medicaid work requirements will see an estimated 5 million lose coverage.
