I personally hate this and also think it’s terrible politics. It’s not egregiously bad even for him, millions dealing with dementia don’t do this making it insensitive to many, & removes personal responsibility for what he said. There’s no need for this & you get nothing politically for it.
feels like a pretty obvious layup for Democrats to say, "this is an egregiously disgusting statement, even for him, and it underlines that the President is undergoing significant physical and mental deterioration, and either he is lying about it or is not aware of it."
